Dr. Martinez’s training reflects a deep commitment to clinical excellence and continual growth as a physician, giving patients confidence in their care. After practicing ophthalmology in Barcelona for 10 years, she moved to the United States in 2010 and completed a one-year glaucoma research fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital. She then completed four additional years of ophthalmology residency at Drexel University/Hahnemann Hospital in Philadelphia and the West Virginia University Eye Institute in Morgantown, strengthening her expertise in medical and surgical eye care. This multi-institution background supports the high standard of care she provides as she offers services from general ophthalmology and cataract surgery to glaucoma management, laser treatments, dry eye care, and medical management of retinal disease, all to help patients understand their options and protect their vision.
What drives me most in my practice is building genuine relationships with my patients and earning their trust. I believe that truly listening to each person's concerns and taking time to explain their options is just as important as the medical expertise I bring to their care.
