Advanced Eye Surgery in Hatboro

ReFocus Eye Health in Hatboro is proud to offer advanced surgical expertise to the Greater Philadelphia area, with a team of world-class, fellowship-trained surgeons including Dr. Mira Amin. We combine state-of-the-art technology and cutting edge procedures with personalized care to deliver exceptional outcomes for a wide range of eye conditions.

arrow-circle-right-3 Femtosecond Laser-Assisted Cataract Surgery

This state-of-the-art technique uses laser technology to perform key steps of cataract surgery with remarkable accuracy and gentleness. By reducing the need for manual incisions, it allows for a smoother procedure, faster recovery, and improved outcomes. Whether it’s regaining clarity or customizing your vision correction, this is modern cataract care at its finest.

arrow-circle-right-3 Corneal Cross-Linking for Keratoconus

Living with keratoconus can feel overwhelming, but this minimally invasive procedure is a game-changer. By strengthening the corneal fibers with UV light and a special riboflavin solution, cross-linking helps halt the progression of the disease, protecting your vision from further damage.

arrow-circle-right-3 Microinvasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS)

Glaucoma is often called the "silent thief of sight," but with MIGS, we can fight back in a safe and effective way. These small but powerful procedures lower eye pressure with less trauma to the eye than traditional surgeries, meaning quicker recovery times and fewer risks.

arrow-circle-right-3 Pterygium Surgical Excision

A pterygium, or "surfer’s eye," is a wing-shaped growth on the eye caused by UV exposure, often seen in people who spend a lot of time outdoors in sunny, dry climates. While it may start as a mild irritation or cosmetic concern, it can grow over the cornea, leading to discomfort, redness, and even vision problems.

arrow-circle-right-3 Advanced Corneal Transplantation

When your cornea is damaged or diseased, a corneal transplant can restore your vision and improve your quality of life. Depending on the severity and location of the damage, different types of transplants are available:

  • DSEK (or DSAEK): This procedure replaces the damaged inner layers of the cornea (endothelium) with healthy donor tissue, helping treat conditions like Fuchs' dystrophy with a minimally invasive approach.

  • DMEK: A more delicate option, DMEK involves transplanting only the thin Descemet’s membrane and endothelium for even faster recovery and improved vision clarity.

  • DALK (Deep Anterior Lamellar Keratoplasty): If the outer layers of your cornea are affected, such as with keratoconus, DALK replaces only the damaged front portions while preserving the healthy inner layers.

  • Full Thickness Corneal Transplant (Penetrating Keratoplasty): For extensive damage involving all layers of the cornea, this procedure replaces the entire cornea with healthy donor tissue, ensuring a full restoration.

Each type of transplant is tailored to your unique needs, offering targeted care to restore your vision and get you back to seeing the world clearly.

This innovative cataract procedure uses a specialized intraocular lens (LAL) that can be fine-tuned after surgery using non-invasive light treatments, offering truly personalized vision correction.
